Language Development Center Nepal is thrilled to announce that we have met the threshold for a permanent spot on GlobalGiving.com! We raised $4,000 from 57 donors in just 11 days. The permanent spot on GlobalGiving will give us permanent access to a global network of donors. We are excited about the work we can accomplish in partnership with communities in Nepal thanks to these generous donors.

GlobalGiving has offered additional financial prizes for the top three fundraisers and the organization that recruits the most donors. LDC Nepal is in 13th place for money raised, and 10th place for the number of donors. There are also prizes for the organizations whose project pages are shared the most on facebook.

In addition to the GlobalGiving competition, we have bigger goals for this project. Four thousand dollars is a great start, but to run literacy classes for 156 participants and livelihoods training for 445 people we need to continue fundraising.
